Robin L. Wickline will be remembered for many things but what most stands out was the loving care and devotion that he had for his wife Diane. Robin was her sole care taker for 30 years. She had multiple sclerosis. He was completely devoted to her. Robin enjoyed being with his family especially during holidays. He also enjoyed the company of his cat, Boots.
Robin was born on September 12, 1947 in Harlingen, Texas to Gaynor and Ada Wickline. He was a native of San Antonio, Texas. Robin resided in Merced for 19 years. He was employed by Cal Trans as a Surveyor for 15 years. He worked in Texas and California and was proud to have helped build many of the Central Valley freeways. He was a member of Christian Life Center in Merced. He is survived by his step children, Ken (Pamela) Ewald Jr. of Merced, Don Ewald of San Antonio, Texas and Terry (Paul) Koltermann of New Braunfels, Texas; his brother William Wickline of El Paso, Texas; along with 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He passed away peacefully on June 12, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 32 years Diane Terry Wickline, his parents Gaynor and Ada and two brothers.
There will be a visitation for Robin on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, located at 1490 B Street, Merced, California.
