Mary Catherine Hubbell

Our beloved Mary Catherine Hubbell was 63 years old when she went to be with the Lord on Sat., Feb. 7, 2015 after a hard fought battle with brain cancer. She was such a special, beautiful wife, mother, daughter, mother-in-law, Nana, family member, and friend.

She was born in Chico, CA and lived in Merced, CA for the last 40 years. Mary belonged to Christian Life Center and delighted in serving the Lord. She deeply loved her family and friends and showed it in many kind ways including through her compassion, caring, generosity, and desire that everyone know the Lord and be saved. She spent a lot of time during her life reading the Word of God, being in Bible studies, and praying. She enjoyed much of her career as a furniture store owner of both The Oak Warehouse and Woodmill Furniture for 25 years. Her passion was serving the Lord, spending time with her family and friends, playing with her precious grandchildren, donating her time to help others at the church, Love INC, and in the community. One of her very favorite activities was riding the trails on her horses with her family and friends. She had a wonderful sense of humor and you felt loved just being with her. She will be greatly missed but we take comfort knowing she is in heaven and no longer suffering.

She is survived by her mother Madeline, her husband Frank, her son Nick, her daughter Tricia, her daughter-in-law Sandra, her 2 wonderful grandchildren, her sister Bonnie, her brother-in-law Jack, and her many friends including her horse loving friends from the Buckaroo Banzai Equine Society.

Her life will be celebrated at 11am on Sat., February 14, 2015 at Christian Life Center at 650 E. Olive Ave. in Merced, CA. Mary loved God's Word and desired that many would be saved and go to heaven. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life."
