Mary Edith Blair was born on December 28, 1928, in Petit Jean Mountain, Arkansas, to Riley and Sarah Branch. She passed away on June 13, 2016, in Turlock, California, after long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Mary lived in El Nido for more than 60 years and worked in the Merced Community Medical Center cafeteria until she retired.
Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Willie Wandie Blair, two brothers, and four sisters.
She is survived by one sister, Estelle Byrd of Arkansas, four daughters: Fran Humphrey of Turlock, CA; Barbara Payne of Livermore, CA; Dorothy Luiz of Atwater, CA; and Teresa (David) Fryklund of Santa Barbara, CA; eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Mary will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A viewing will be held at 9:00 a.m. with services to follow at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Stratford Evans Funeral Home, 1490 B Street, Merced, California.
