Mariana Felix Ruiz

Mariana Felix Ruiz, 89, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 in Merced, California. Mariana was born on April 18, 1932 in Durango, Mexico where she lived until she moved to the United States at the age of 25. She first moved to Firebaugh, California and then moved to Merced, California five years later. Mariana spent 60 years of her life residing in Merced where she built her life and family, including her five children, 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Mariana is survived by her children: Brigida (Viki) Rodrigues, Maria Inez Sandoval, and Dolores (Lola) Flores; her 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by Maribel Arteaga , her care provider.

Mariana is preceded in death by her mother, Ines Mesa, son, Manuel Felix, daughter, Lupe Sandoval, son-in-law Randy Armendariz Sr., and brother, Goyo Vidaca.

A visitation will be held for Mariana on March 8, 2022 at Stratford Evans Funeral Home from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Merced, California on March 9, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. followed by a graveside service at Calvary Cemetery. A reception will follow the burial at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home.
