Maria Rosario Garcia was born in Merced, CA, she was the eldest child of Carmen and Guadalupe Soria. Maria was a graduate of Golden Valley High School. She worked various jobs including retail at Grocery Outlet, Cafeteria helper at Golden Valley and most recently Attendance clerk at Golden Valley. She made many friends and acquaintances through her jobs.
Maria had a passion for gardening, succulents being her favorite. She also had various collections of items that interested her. Maria loved spending time with her family and going on family getaways. She also had several pets she cared for.
Maria is survived by her daughters Micaela Marie Garcia, Sonia Dianna Garcia, Lydia Julianna Soria-Alarcon; son Xavier Angel Garcia; spouse Miguel Angel Garcia Jr.; mother Guadalupe Soria; father Carmen Soria; brother Alejandro Soria and sister Cecilia Soria.
A vigil service with rosary for Maria will be held Friday, December 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM with a chapel blessing following at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 1480 B Street, Merced, CA 95341.
