I remember your home being a safe place for us. I remember feeling only love from you and Grandpa. I loved how we would always bake cookies. We all had our favorite, mine was peanut butter, Blake’s was anise, and Jordon’s was oatmeal raisin. You always had a loaf of bread ready to go in the bread maker. You always bought us chocolate flavored soy milk because regular milk didn’t agree with us. You would make us yummy lunches with rice cakes, tomato, cheese and little bit of Mayo. You always made sure we ate oatmeal in the mornings and take our vitamins too. You always made sure we were entertained, whether it was with movies, coloring, or games. You taught us how to play Phase 10, which is still one of my favorite games to this day. You gave us unconditional love when no one around could…. You made us feel safe and cared for. My childhood was hard, but the parts with you in it were easy and carefree….

I know you’re watching over us, you still reside in my heart. I can feel your love with every accomplishment I make. Every time I play the piano, I feel your presence, you smile and gaze upon me as I play from my heart. I carry these parts of you everywhere I go. I love you, Grandma.

Paul - I am so sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. She was a dear friend of mine. I am sure she is so happy to be reunited with Glen. They were a match made in heaven. We were fortunate to have them stay in our home when we lived in San Jose while your dad was tuning pianos. We have many fond memories of them both. I hope she didn’t have to suffer.  I am sorry for your loss and hope that you are doing well. I would love to hear from you sometime.  Kristy Bond
