Jeanne was born on April 15, 1931 to John and Frances Malone in Vermillion, South Dakota. She moved with her family to Venice, Ca in 1936 and shortly after moved to Van Nuys, Ca. She met the most amazing man, Lee White, and they married May 12, 1950.
In 1956, Jeanne and Lee purchased a home in Tulare, Ca where she was a homemaker. Lee was on the road a lot, so she was on her own the majority of the time to raise all 5 children. This was a struggle for her sometimes, especially with 4 boys. She was the most loving, caring, and calm person, but if you messed with her children, not far behind there she was to make sure that it never happened again. In 1973 she moved with her family to Merced, Ca. She was very involved in the church, First Assembly of God. She went back to school and got her degree in early childhood development in 1984. She taught preschool and a couple different Christian schools before opening up her own. She turned her home into Top O’ the Mountain (A climb to the top of the mountain for each individual child). She valued teaching in a Christian atmosphere more than anything and was loved by all of her students that attended. She taught the two L’s, love and learning. She loved everything about teaching and her school. Sadly, Lee passed away in 1992. Soon after she closed the school. She moved to be with her sister, Joyce in Lancaster, Ca in 1994. She lived there with Joyce and Joyce’s husband, Paul for 16 years. In 2010, she decided to be closer to family in Visalia, Ca. She moved into her own little apartment. She was never a pet person, but she ended up with a stray and named her Baby. She was her companion. She loved her dog. Every single day, she would take her for a walk and get the mail for all of her neighbors. Everyone in her little community that she met, loved her.
Jeanne took pride in her family. She was always there to talk to and had the best advice. She never judged, she never had a bad thing to say about anyone. She gave the best hugs and when she did you knew everything was going to be ok.
She is preceded in death by: her husband, Lee White; her son, Andrew White; her parents, John and Frances Malone; her brother, Jack Malone; and her sister, Shirley Monroe.
She is survived by: her sisters, Joyce Taylor and Jill Malone; her daughter, Kathleen White; her sons, Bradley White, Mitchell White, and James White and daughter in-law Diane White; her grandchildren, Stephen White, Erika Singleterry, Jennifer White, Stacey Fantom, Rebecka White, Kandis Van Gelder, and Bruce White, along with 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Jeanne was a blessing on earth and will be greatly missed by all. Heaven gained a true angel.
