“JERRY”

Jerry was born on November 10, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois.
He served in the U.S. Army in WWII and in 1950 received a Bachelor’s Degree from DePaul University. He then located to Los Angeles, CA and after a short business career entered the teaching profession, obtained his Master’s Degree in Elementary School Administration from California State Los Angeles. In 1975 he relocated to Mariposa, CA and enjoyed a rural lifestyle. He was employed by the County of Mariposa and retired as its County Clerk in 1989. Jerry moved to Merced in 1990, where he was a member of Our Lady of Mercy and later Sacred Heart Parishes. He enjoyed his volunteer work with the Volunteers of Mercy and maintaining his home and garden.
Survivors include his sister-in-law, Myrtle McCarthy of Los Altos, CA; 5 nephews; and 2 nieces.
Inurnment will be at San Fernando Mission Cemetery in Southern California.
