Edward Garcia

Edward Martin Garcia, born July 17, 1956 to Amelia and Leguardo Garcia passed away October 12, 2021 at home surrounded by his family in Merced, California. Edward worked at and retired from Ragu/Lipton (32 years). He was a devoted husband and family man who loved to watch his children and grandchildren play sports. He was their number one fan. He loved his San Francisco Giants and San Francisco 49ers.

Edward is survived by his wife, Dianna; his 2 sons, Adrian Ignacio and Vincent Garcia. Also surviving him are 2 brothers and 4 sisters along with his grandchildren, Mariah and A.J. Ignacio. He is preceded in death by his brother, Jessie Garcia.

Services for Edward will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Merced. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. with a catholic mass following. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Merced, California.

On behalf of the family we would like to extend our gratitude to our God sent Angels, nieces and daughter in-laws, Jessica Delgadillo, Alice Smith, Genevieve Sotelo, Lisa Ignacio and Jennifer Magdaleno. No one deserves more gratitude than his beloved wife Dianna who was at his side at every doctor appointment and every step of the way. He will truly be missed in the hearts of all who knew him.
