Denise Duran

Denise Ann Duran was born on October 22, 1962 in Merced, CA. Denise passed away on Monday February 7, 2011.

Denise’s life joy was spending time with her family. Her pride and joy were her four grandchildren. She enjoyed being a part of their daily lives and cherished the time she spent with them. She enjoyed watching a good action movie as well as visiting the surrounding casinos. Denise worked in the culinary industry for 11 years, where she made many friends. She was a very dedicated, strong and hard working person. Denise was an extremely loved and dedicated mother that will forever be missed.

Denise was preceded in death by her parents Ramona Cardenas, Morris Duran and her husband Rudy Romero. She is survived by her three children Dianna Aguirre, David Aguirre and Deanna Romero. Son and daughter-in-law Silvestre Llamas and Lisabeth Sebastio, and her four grandchildren; Silvestre, Brianna, Alyssa Llamas and Alana Aguirre. She also leaves behind three sisters; Catherine Campos, Christina Bachicha, Sandra Villarreal and one brother, Armando Cardenas.

The viewing will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2011 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B St. Merced. The Recitation of the Rosary will immediately follow at 6:00 PM at the same location. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, located at 459 West 21st St. Merced. All friends and family are welcome and encouraged to attend. Arrangements are under the direction of Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home.
