Claude was a long time resident of Chowchilla, California where he started his occupation of being a farmer. As being a 74 year resident of Chowchilla, California, he met the love of his life, Linda Sheppard and started a family of their own. Claude and Linda had 5 beautiful children that they both truly loved and always cherished the memories they made. They both became members New Life Church of Chowchilla, California where he served on the board and along with his wife that helped cook on fellowship sundays.
Claude's passion was hunting and camping with the his family and friends. Claude was known as making a "mean steak" that no one could forget. He was just a lovable person who always loved to joke around with others and make them laugh no matter what it was about, but most of all, Claude cherished and loved his family and grandchildren with all of his heart and knew they were his pride and joys.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Linda Sheppard; his children, Christina Sheppard-Oram (Madera, California), Jennifer Ann Womble (Monterey, California), Stephen Sheppard (Chowchilla, California), Matthew Sheppard (Modesto, California) and Ashley Elise Sheppard (Chowchilla, California). Also survived by his brothers, Leland Sheppard (Nevada), David Sheppard (Atlanta, Georgia), Richard Sheppard (Chowchilla, California) and lastly, his grandchildren, Samuel Oram, Madison Oram, Ian Oram, Stevie Heffington, Zac Heffington, Brynn Womble, Evan Womble, Colton Cruikshank, Jase Zamora, Hope Sheppard, Grace Sheppard, Kaitlyn Sheppard and great grandchild, Maverick Cruz Crnkoric.
Claude is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Richard Sheppard and Theresa Josephine Sheppard of Chowchilla, California.
A Celebration of Life for Claude will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at New Life Church, 520 Colusa Avenue, Chowchilla, California 93610.
