She was born in Mobile, AL on January 6, 1936. She was the daughter of Addley and Lovenia (Lombard) Reynolds. She graduated from Murphy High School in Mobile and later attended Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City, FL.
Her devotion to her husband and his profession gave her the opportunity to live in numerous places including South Carolina, Florida, Mississippi, Alabama and Oregon. Everywhere she lived, Vivian made lasting friendships as a result of her wonderful personality and how she cared for others over herself.
Vivian’s life was a testament to family devotion, receiving her greatest joys from being a wife, mother and a grandmother. She was a role model for loving and encouraging her family. Both her children and grandchildren could always count on seeing her smiling face at the many activities and events that are a part of growing up. In addition, Vivian displayed a lifetime devotion to her church and church friends.
Most of all, Vivian loved her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. She will forever be missed and never forgotten.
She is preceded in death by C.B. Vickrey Jr., her adored and adoring husband of 58 years. She is survived by her three children, Jeannie Radcliff (Greg), C.B. III (Christy) and David (Gary), three grandchildren, sister Joann, brother Charles and many cherished relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 5-6:30 PM on Monday, October 19 at Memphis Funeral Home with a service of remembrance at 6:30 PM.
