Thomas M. Richie (Tom and TR to his friends) died at his home on Sunday, September 18, 2016 in Cordova, Tennessee. He was 70 years old. He was born on March 27, 1946 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Jacob Thomas Richie and Anna Ruth Judge Richie. He graduated from Harding Academy of Memphis in 1964 and the University of Memphis. He retired from the Shelby County Assessor of Property.
Tom had a love for the Memphis Tigers, Denver Broncos, music, and art.
He is survived by his son, Spencer M. Richie, his daughter, Ashley Amber Pera, six grandchildren, and his sister, Dee Ward. He was preceded in death by both his mother and father. He wished to be cremated. Scattering of ashes will be a private ceremony. Family is grateful for all prayers and condolences. Donations can be made to the National Hemophilia Foundation.
