Mr. Thomas M. Jackson of Memphis, TN went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, April 26,2023, to be reunited with his loving wife of 55 years, Charline Holste Jackson, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his eldest son, Thomas C. Jackson. Mr. Jackson is survived by two sons, William C. (Billy) Jackson (Lynne) and Dennis D. Jackson (Tonia), 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Mr. Jackson was a retired 58-year member of The International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers Local Union 167, where he was recording secretary for several years.
In his younger days, he enjoyed roller skating, camping, and water skiing. He also enjoyed woodworking in his backyard shop. He gave much of his time, while he was able, to Riverside International Speedway, in West Memphis, AR. Mr. Jackson was a faithful member of Faith Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where he contributed so much of his time and talents over the years.
The funeral will be Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m., followed by the service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh-LaGrange Rd, Memphis, TN.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the ALS Association (in honor of Thomas C. Jackson) or the charity of the donor’s choice.
