Stanley Edward Hansen

On August 24th our beloved husband, father, and grandfather Stanley Hansen went home to be with the Lord in Heaven. We were very blessed to have him in our lives. He was a remarkable husband, loving father, amazing son, caring grandfather, and wonderful great-grandfather. He enjoyed fishing on his boat, reading, and studying his Bible, and being with his family. He was a very hard working man who had become an exceptional welder for forty years at Standard Boiler and Tank. A proud member of the Boiler Makers Union. He had been a devoted member of the Dyer Baptist Church for 13 years where he had a passion for helping children and picking them up on his bus route to take them to church to try to make a positive difference in their lives. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for five years where he currently attended. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Donna Hansen, children, Darlene (Marc) Hom, Brian (Bridget) Hansen, grandchildren, Barbara Bedford, Alicia (Scott) Dolan, and Ryan Hansen, five great-grandchildren, Jayden and Riley Bedford, Toni Dolan, Toni and Logan Hansen. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Toni Hansen, mother, Mary Patriarca, father, Tony Patriarca, mother-in-law, Virginia Franiak, and Aunt and Uncle who had helped raise him, Ed and Lois Harbison.
