Sandra was born in 1942 to Gip and Eloise Tackett in Memphis. The Tackett family settled in Mississippi at the start of her high school years and this is where Sandra’s lifelong love of singing and playing the piano really began. After graduating from Florence High School, Sandra worked a few years in Mississippi before moving back to Memphis. It was shortly after this move that she began attending Central Baptist Church, soon using her beautiful voice and gift of piano playing to worship her Savior any chance she could get. Sandra loved the people of Central Baptist so much that she dedicated herself to work as the church and school secretary for more than 30 years. Central Baptist is also where Sandra would meet the love of her life and future husband of 58 years, Kenneth Brigham. She and Kenneth would go on to have three children, Kendra, Keith, and Josh.
Sandra was a loving and loyal wife, mother, and friend. Whether keeping score at ballgames, welcoming families to school, or worshiping through her music, she could always be found selflessly serving others. She loved her family and spent time with her brothers and sister, as well as her children and grandchildren, as often as she and Kenneth could. When not traveling or playing the piano for church, Sandra could be found enjoying simple pleasures like reading, word puzzles, and HGTV.
Sandra was predeceased by her father Gip, mother Eloise, and sister Deborah. She is survived by her daughter Kendra (Ken), sons Keith (Donna) and Josh (Kali), seven grandchildren (Luke, Shelby, Alexis, Regan, Mia, Braeden, and Madelyn), and one great-grandchild (Nicolas).
