She leaves behind to cherish her memory her caregivers, daughter Karen Burson and grandson Samuel Edward "Eddie" Vickers. She also leaves behind another grandson, Christopher Griffin and her sister Mary Daphne Null (Jim). She leaves behind Silvya Davis who was her best friend and was like a sister to her. She also leaves behind her constant companion, her great grand-dog, Smokey. She was his G.G. (Great grandmother). Her passion and joy in life was doing and praying for others. She always put everyone's needs before her own. She was an amazing prayer warrior. You could tell her someone needed prayer and she never failed to pray for them. Even when her health was failing, she would sit on the side of her bed and pray for people; not just by name but she prayed for their needs as well. She would literally sit on the edge of her bed every night for hours on end praying out loud talking to God until she was finished. She was a very special person and was very talented. She always looked for the best in people. She was an amazing artist and made the most beautiful and best tasting cakes you could ever imagine. Her hobbies were making cakes, ceramics and designing and making T-shirts. She enjoyed her word search puzzle books and would sit for hours doing those puzzles. She also enjoyed watching countless game shows with her daughter Karen every night together and watching late night TV shows with her grandson Eddie. She worked for the Defense Supply Agency where she received commendations for her outstanding work. She retired from Crye-Leike many years ago where she worked as a receptionist. She was a long time member of Merton Avenue Baptist Church but at the time of her death, she was a member of Colonial Baptist Church. Her prayers have finally been answered and she is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior. She has been reunited with the love of her life and what an amazing reunion that must have been. Also the reunion with her other family members that have gone before her as well. No more suffering and no more pain. She is HOME at last!! Anyone that knew her said she was just like an angel with her never ending smile, compassion, faith, love, and absolute kindness. NOW she IS a beautiful and amazing guardian angel looking down over all of us. She will be so dearly missed by many but she will never be forgotten.
