Richard was born January 10, 1957 in Columbus, Mississippi, one of two sons born to Edna Peel Cobb and the late Jerry William Cobb. He completed his high school education at Desoto County Academy and attended Southwestern Mississippi Community College. He retired from the City of Bartlett after 23 years where he was the Supervisor for Parks & Recreation Department.
He loved sports! He excelled in every sport he played from football, baseball, golf, basketball, bowling and the list goes on. Good or bad, Rick never jumped ship and has been an avid Dallas Cowboys football fan all his life.
Along with his father Rick was preceded in death by his brother Mike Cobb. He is survived by his wife of 27 years Theresa; children Christy Cunningham of Drummonds, TN, Leigh Ann Broadway of Memphis, Timothy Quinn, Jr., Jason Quinn and Anthony Quinn all three of Cordova, Holly Richerson of Walnut, MS and Allie Dudley of Memphis; twenty grandchildren & 3 great-granddaughters.
Family and friends will gather Saturday morning beginning at 9:00 a.m. until funeral services begin at 10:00 a.m. all at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. Burial will follow in Edmondson Cemetery in Southaven, MS.
