Raymond was born in Memphis, Tennessee on July 19, 1951, to Emma J. Moore and Frederick J. Moore. The oldest of five siblings, Dan Moore, Becky Moore-Millican, Frederick Moore, and Michael Moore. After High School he joined the U.S Navy as an airplane mechanic. Later he came back home to meet his beloved wife Joanne C. Garrett-Moore of fifty years where they had a beautiful daughter, Wendy R. Moore. In 1997 he was blessed with his only grandchild, Renee M. Moore. He worked many jobs to support and provide everything he could for his family and eventually retired from Totaline - Carrier Enterprise. Raymond was an avid reader and a passionate sports enthusiast.

A visitation for Raymond will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, November 30, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Family Funeral Care.
