It is heartbreaking to learn of the death of my Cousin Mike. He always treated everyone with love and kindness. 
I will always remember how much I admired him. He taught me self-defense moves, took me to see the movie Jaws (when it was in the theaters & I was so terrified that I asked to leave), he took my sister & me to the zoo. He was just a very good person.  
Even though we lived far apart, and we didn't get to talk much, when we did talk, it was always a long conversation. Our calls where full of sharing memories of our family, talking about our churches, and lots of laughter. 
I'm very proud to have known him. 
May he rest in peace. ❤

I am very saddened about my cousin Mike’s passing. He was kind and loved his parents and dogs. He always had a dog that he treated like a child. As a much older cousin, he could have easily ignored his much younger cousins when we visited him in Memphis. However, he didn’t. He took my sister and me to the zoo where he bought us balloons. He talked to us and complimented us. He bought me Dr Seuss’s Green Eggs and Ham, which I read with my mother until I memorized the book. He let me tag along with him when walking his dog. He gave me very comforting words when my mother passed away. I wish he hadn’t left us this soon. I wanted my daughter to know him. I hope he is happy to join Aunt Naida and Uncle Ken again.
