Michael J. Finnell, 84, passed away on January 23, 2012 in Memphis,TN. Michael leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years Mrs. Lee Finnell, three sons Kelly O. (Beverly) Finnell, Timothy J. (Julia) Finnell, and Patrick S. (Valerie) Finnell, four granddaughters Kimberly Moore, Colleen Ellis, Alex Finnell, and Kelsey Finnell. He served his country in the United States Navy twice once in WWII and once again the Korean Conflict. In his free time, Mr. Finnell enjoyed golfing and horseracing as his hobbies. He retired from State Mutual Life after 20 years as a general agent. A visitation and rosary will be held Tuesday, January 24th at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar chapel from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. with rosary at 6:30. A Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, January 25th at St. Louis Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude in lieu of flowers.
