Melanie worked at Carter’s and is survived by her husband Jerry Hargett, daughter Kaylee and 2 sons Alexander and Wesley, mother Carolyn Hyem, brother Brad Hyem niece Lillian, sister Laura Dunaway brother-in-law Matthew Dunaway and niece Maggie Kay and mother-in-law Debbie Pope.
Melanie was a very loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt. She will be truly missed every single day.

A visitation for Melanie will be held Tuesday, September 7 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38119. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM. The graveside service will follow the funeral in Memorial Park Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119.
