Mary L. Strain, age 82 of Memphis passed away Monday, February 17, 2014. She was born January 31, 1932 in Paducah, Kentucky to the late John Irvin Luigs and Catherine Lenora Roof Luigs. She was a nurse, and her greatest pleasure was taking care of those around her. Mrs. Strain was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick R. Strain, and her grandson, Christopher Strain. Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Williams; 3 sons, Mike (Phyllis), Tim, and Danny (Wendy) Strain; her brother, Harold Luigs; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Family Funeral Care located on Summer Avenue, from 5:30-7:30 PM Wednesday, February 19. Funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday, February 20 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bartlett. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Gardens.
