Mary Jane Atwill

Mary Jane Atwill of Bartlett, TN was born in Phoenixville, PA on October 7, 1960 to Samuel Crawford Hock and Jane Nanette Endres Hock, who precede her in death. She passed on January 13, 2015 at the age of 54. She was survived by her loving Husband, Mark Atwill, with whom she moved to Memphis in 1982, and were married in 1986. She is also survived by her son, Chas Atwill, daughter, Hailey Atwill Layrock (Eriole), step-daughter, Stephanie Beck (Chris), step-grandson, Derek Beck, sister, Nancy Hock and brother, Christian Hock. She was a graduate of Memphis Culinary Institute and in the catering business. She also spent several years with Jimmy Dean Foods, Kraft Foods and Sara Lee Foods in research and product development. Mary Jane was a wonderful Homemaker as well and an amazing Chef. She loved her four-legged children, Daisy and Sable and her four-legged grandchild, Rocco. A time of memories and refreshment will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 5-8pm at Memphis Funeral Home 5599 Poplar Ave., in the Sheraton Suite. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 in the Memphis Funeral Home North Chapel. Services will be conducted by staff celebrant Mark Horton.
