Marguerite Davis, formerly of Memphis, was born on December 31, 1922 and passed on January 27, 2015 at the age of 93. Marguerite was a graduate of Whitehaven High School, and was employed by NBC Bank for several years. She belonged to The Kings Daughters and the Legal Secretaries of Tennessee. She was a member of Colonial Baptist Church at the time of her death where she used to teach Sunday school for a number of years. She was also a writer of poems of which she won several awards. Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents, Toby S. Barron and Thelma Roberts Barron; son, Jack Kemper Davis, Jr. of Memphis; sister, Elaine Satterwhite of Bay Springs, MS; brother, James K. (Blue) Barron of Memphis. She is survived by her brother, Pascal Barron formerly of Memphis, now of Jordan, AR; grandchildren, Jack Kemper Davis, III (Teresa) and Angela Jeannette Davis Royston (Gene); great grandchildren, Russell Royston, Rachel Royston and Mark Davis; one great-great grandchild, Aria Royston; and by numerous nieces and nephews. A service will be held on Friday, January 30 beginning at 10am at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave., Memphis TN. Interment will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens.
