Luke Francis Borger, 1 02, died peacefully at home on Saturday, January 3rd, 2015. He was born July 17th, 1912 in S1. Henry, Ohio to the late John and Anna (Hemmelgarn) Borger and grew up in Celina, Ohio. White in Ohio, he was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He moved to Memphis in 1951 where he continued working in the furniture manufacturing business, retiring as president and CEO of Aeolian Pianos, Inc. He was also past president of the National Piano Manufacturing Association, as well as a member of the Board of Directors Executive Committee of the American Music Conference. Luke was a former member and past president of the Men's Club of St. Michael's Catholic Church, a founding member of St. Louis Catholic Church, and a 50 year member of the Serra Club. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, and boating with friends and family.
Luke was preceded in death by his wife of 76 years, Mary Magdalene Borger, his son-in-law Edward Crenshaw, his siblings Ralph, Clarence, Mildred, and Ruth Borger and Anna Lee Heckler. He is survived by his brother Charles Borger of Celina, Ohio, his daughters Mary Ann Cremerius (Tony) and Mary Jean Crenshaw of Memphis. He also leaves 9 grandchildren: Stephen (Robin), Robert (Alexis), James (Jennifer), and David (Rita) Cremerius, Mary Angela (Scott) Werner, Cheryl (Jay) Eubank, Lisa (Greg) Blair, Deborah (Richard) Harty, and Christine (Gene) Ross. He leaves 22 great-grandchildren: Luke, Keith, Kimberly, Stephanie, Haley, Caroline, Conner, Kallie, Courtney, Anna Kate, and Maria Cremerius, Mary Katherine and Sam Werner, Shannon, Paige, and Sydney Eubank, Coleman, Reid, and Trevor (Shelby) Blair, Lauren (Chris) Hughes, and Nathan and Nicole Harty. He leaves two great-great-grandchildren, Madelynn and Olivia Hughes.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. with rosary at 7
p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Avenue. A funeral Mass
will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 6, at St. Louis Catholic Church with burial in
Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Monsignor Clunan Endowment
