Lou Ellen Edwards, 73, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2020 at Hardin Home Nursing Home in Savannah, Tennessee after a long battle with COPD. She was born June 21, 1946 in Marked Tree, Arkansas to the late Dudie and Verna (White) Price. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Edwards is preceded in death by four brothers, Bobby Joe Price, Willie Price, Kenneth Price and Lonnie Price and two sisters, Francis Carter and Patricia Lewelling.
Mrs. Edwards was an excellent cook, and she loved her family, fishing and gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Donald G. Edwards of Arlington, TN; her daughter and her husband, Tammy and Robby Hays of Arlington, TN; her son and his wife, Chris and Cheryl Edwards of Munford, TN; and one sister, Debra Spraug of Florida. Nanny, as she was lovingly referred by her family, leaves four grandchildren. Grandsons, Blaine Hays (Jessica) of Bartlett, TN, Drew Hays of Arlington, TN, Jake Edwards (Emily) of Collierville, TN, and her only granddaughter, Samantha Edwards of Memphis, TN. Additionally, she leaves one great-granddaughter, Karsyn Hays and two great-grandsons, Lane Hays and Lawson Hays. All of them, she loved and touched deeply.
Lou Ellen's family will receive friends on Friday, February 7, 2020 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122.
