Lisa May Temple

Lisa was born in Memphis, TN on January 14, 1961, to the late John and Angelina May. She attended Holy Rosary Catholic grade school and graduated in 1979 from Immaculate Conception High School for Girls in Memphis, TN.

Lisa worked various jobs over the years in the eye care profession. While her full-time job was in eye care, she worked weekends and evenings at her parent’s liquor store. The last four years she and her brother Matthew owned and ran the liquor store together. She always enjoyed sitting at the store and talking with customers.

She had a bright and bubbly personality which made everyone smile and laugh when she was around, especially her niece and nephews that loved hanging out with her! The holiday festivities never seemed to start unless she was there.

Lisa loved her family and friends. She was a devoted daughter, niece, sister, mother, and friend. She was generous with her time and always saw the best in everyone. She was very proud of her Italian heritage. She was a past president of the Ladies Italian – American Civic League. One of her favorite activities was participating and competing in the Memphis Italian Festival. Lisa was also a Den Mother for Cub Scouts at Holy Rosary Catholic Church and a leader of Scout Crew 341 at St. Louis Catholic Church.

Her proudest accomplishment in life was raising her two sons: Robert “Bobby” L. Temple and Albert John “AJ” Temple.

Lisa is preceded in death by her parents John and Angelina May. She is survived by her children Bobby Temple (Angelique), and A. J. Temple; grandson Samual “Sam” Garrett Michael Coughlin, Siblings John A. May, Jr. (Angie), and Matthew A. May; Niece Catherine C. May, Nephews Johnny A. May, and Aaron J. May.

Family will receive guests on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 10 am – 11 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 8151 Poplar Avenue, Germantown, TN. Memorial Mass will follow starting at 11 am.
