Lawrence Simeon Johnson, 64, died Thursday, June 28, 2011 at his Memphis residence. Mr. Johnson is survived by his daughter, Nicole A. Johnson of Memphis; a sister, Susan Matthews; and brother, Larry Johnson both of St Louis, MO; and his longterm partner, Debbie Cottam. Lawrence loved great music, playing tennis, hanging out at Marlowe's on Elvis Presley Blvd., and his annual Pensacola, Florida vacations. Mr. Johnson worked as a Flight Attendant for over 10 years. He also served Memphis City Schools over 15 years as a Social Worker. A Memorial Service has been planned for Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Memphis Funeral Homes and Memorial Gardens - Poplar Chapel at 10:00 a.m. A catered Reception/Reconnection opportunity will be provided at the Memphis Funeral Homes and Memorial Gardens - Poplar Chapel after the Memorial Service.
