Kathleen Bullard Parks

Kathleen Bullard Parks, a beloved pillar of her community and cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on May 30, 2024, at the age of 76. Kathleen was born on May 16, 1948, in Helena, Arkansas, and from her early years, she exuded warmth, kindness, and a deep love for her family and faith.

Throughout her life, Kathleen wore many hats with grace and dignity. A certified professional secretary by trade, she approached her work with diligence and professionalism. However, it was her roles as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother where Kathleen truly shined. Married for 49 years to her beloved husband, Burleigh Michael Parks, Kathleen exemplified unwavering love, support, and dedication.

Kathleen found immense joy and fulfillment in her roles as a mother to her sons, Adam Barkley Parks and Andrew Michael Parks. Her love for them was boundless, and she poured her heart and soul into nurturing and guiding them through life's journey.

An active member of Bartlett Woods Church of Christ, Kathleen's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was deeply devoted to God's word and found solace and strength in her religious community. Her faith infused every aspect of her being, shaping her values, guiding her actions, and inspiring those around her.

In addition to her dedication to her family and faith, Kathleen found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for baking delicious treats, creating beautiful crochet pieces, and listening to the gentle melodies of wind chimes. These hobbies brought her immense joy and allowed her creativity to flourish.

Kathleen's love extended beyond her human family to include her faithful companion, Daisy, her beloved dog. Daisy brought her companionship, comfort, and joy, and Kathleen cherished every moment spent with her furry friend.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Barkley Bullard, and her sister, Linda Bullard Mooney. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and compassion that will continue to live on through her husband Mike Parks, her sons, Adam and Andrew, her grandchildren, Ava, Lily, Aiden, Emma Grace, and Hope Parks, her brothers, Darrell Bullard and Kent Bullard, and all those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Family will receive friends Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with service to follow at 6:00 p.m. at Bartlett Woods Church of Christ, 7900 Old Brownsville Rd, Arlington, TN 38002. In lieu of flowers send donations to Bartlett Woods Church of Christ.

Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Kathleen's legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire and uplift those who carry her memory in their hearts.
