JoAnn graduated from Blue Mountain College in 1958. During her college years, she played classical music in the college ensemble. Also in 1958, she won “Miss Tippah County” and went on to compete in Miss Mississippi.
She dedicated her life to raising her children and spoiling her grandchildren.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Tiny Nance. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Larry Manuel; 3 children, Cathy Hutto (Kenny), Jamie Raines (Gail), and Kim Weeks (Todd); and 3 grandchildren, Alanna, Michael, and Connor.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 11am-12pm with a funeral service starting at 12pm all at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave., Memphis, TN 38122. Interment will immediately follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN 38119.
