Jerry Shaw Hall was born on October 6, 1939 in Lewisville, MS to Herbert “Feltz “Hall and Grace Shaw Hall. Sadly after a few years of declining health and mind Jerry Hall went to Glory, on Friday July 8, 2022 @ 8:45 pm.
Jerry graduated from Treadwell High School in Memphis, TN. After graduation he married his high school sweetheart, Jacquelyn Palmer on August 28, 1959. They were happily married for 53 years. Jerry served in the United States Air Force after high school, for 8 years. He was a Sergeant at his final post, and an instructor at Keesler Air Force Base. Jerry acquired a dual Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Management and Engineering at Memphis State. He took use to those management skills to a career with 25+ years in various management positions with Dover Elevators. After leaving Dover, he became a business owner and manager of JWA, Inc. He retired in 2008. During the course of Jerry’s life, he was a devout follower of Jesus Christ. He was a member of Collierville First Baptist Church in Collierville, TN, where he taught the Senior Men’s class and served 15+ years as a Deacon. As his desire to spread the gospel anyway possible grew in his heart, he became a Gideon; serving for 12 years going various places like jails, hospitals, schools and homes to spread God’s word and love of Jesus Christ. Jerry was a Master Mason of the Scottish Rite where he served for many years in multiple assignments. He also became a master gardener and loved spending time with his garden club, growing fruits and vegetables was his passion. Jerry was a man of strong love for Jesus and to know him you would see Jesus in his day-to-day actions.
Jerry's legacy continues through his son, Terry Hall, of Oceanside, CA; his daughter: Kellie Waller of Olive Branch, MS; his grandson, Aaron Waller, Jr of Arlington, TN; his granddaughter, Brittanie Kogos of Olive Branch, MS; his two great granddaughters, McKenzie Kogos and Graceyn Waller; his brother, Duane Hall, of Brandon, MS; his 4 nephews and 3 Nieces. He will be sorely missed by many, but know he is in heaven rejoicing and made whole with so many loved ones, but most of all His wife Jackie, and Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Services will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Crosslife Church, 3213 Hwy -309 South Byhalia, MS 38611 with visitation from 10am until 12 noon and the Memorial Service at 12 noon. The interment will be held at 2pm, Memphis Memory Gardens 6444 Raleigh LaGrange Rd. Memphis, TN 38134.
