Born to Jack P. and NeySa (Lineberry) McDowell on December 12, 1956, she was the fourth of six siblings.
Jacquelyne was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She was kindhearted, cheerful, hardworking, and a blessing to those that knew her. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. Her kindness and giving nature will be remembered by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her son Charles Christopher Camp and parents Jack P. and NeySa (Lineberry) McDowell.
Mrs. Camp is survived by her husband of 39 years, Charles C. Camp; daughter-in-law, Ashley M. Camp (Southaven, MS); brothers Robert P. (Diane) McDowell (Springville, TN), John E. McDowell (Waterford, MS), Hank L. (Carol) McDowell (Piperton, TN), Raymond M. (Angela) McDowell (Drummonds, TN); sister Yolanda McDowell Martin (Arlington, TN); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and an abundance of friends.
She was a long-time member of Minor Memorial UMC and loved singing in the choir. She was also a Sunday school teacher for Pre-K children, a group leader in vacation Bible school, and served as a kitchen coordinator.
Jacquelyne worked for Buckeye Cellulose Corporation from 1976 to 1993. She was a registered medical assistant from 1993 to 1996, and for the last 9 years worked at Southaven Intermediate School.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 9th from 1:00pm – 2:00pm at Minor Memorial United Methodist Church in Walls, MS, with private services to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial donations be made to The American Heart Association (heart.org) or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org).
