Mr. Jackie "Jack" Lynn King, age 71, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022. Jack was born October 31, 1950, in Hayti, Missouri, to Jack King and Lillian Crosser King. Jack graduated Hayti High School (Class of 1968) and left Haiti for Memphis in 1970. He began his automotive career working for Firestone and retired from ABC Mobile Brake after over 40 years. He was involved in Scouting for several years where he was a Scoutmaster in his son's troop. He was a skilled handyman, tinkerer, loved woodworking and yard work, and any projects he could find to do. He always enjoyed a good Halloween party, on his birthday.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kathy Givens; sisters, Ruth King and Shirley King; and grandson, Cameron King. He is survived by his children, Cindy Menton, Lisa King (Broady), Alan King, and Christopher King; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 14 at 11:00 AM, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee.
