Jack E. Watson died on May 30, 2013 at the age of 91. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Watson. He is survived by his wife, Joan Watson. He is also survived by his daughter, Carol Holley and her husband, Richard; his daughter, Dixie Avey and her husband, Norris. His grandchildren, Deborah Nelson and her husband, David, Kyle Holley and his wife, Angie, and Kristen Acuff and her husband, Jeff. Mr. Watson also had great-grandchildren, Austin, Cameron and Braden Acuff, and Brittany Lyles and her husband, Eddie. Mara, Bella and Edward Lyles are his great-great-grandchildren. The children of Mr. Watson's wife Joan are Delaine Borgman and her husband Mike and their children, Nick and Chris Borgman, LuAnne Dudley and sons, Mason and Will, Mrs. Watson's son-in-law, Charles Hurley and a granddaughter Mary Kathryn Duke and her husband, Michael, and JoEllen Hurley, Deceased. Mr. Watson served in the Air Force in England during the Korean War. He was employed at the Fruehauf Trailer Co. until he retired and was a long time member and deacon at Ridgeway Baptist Church and more recently at Covenant Church. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, with the service to follow at 2 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Germantown Rd. with burial in Memphis Memory Gardens.
