Gloria Kay McCarson

Gloria Kay Brogdon McCarson, 68, joined her Savior in heaven on Sunday, the 22nd of May, 2016. Born in Memphis, Tennessee on the 6th of July, 1947 to the late Leonard & Lola Canerdy Brogdon. She graduated from Frayser High School and attended the University of Tennessee in Martin, Tennessee. A gathering for family and friends will be on Tuesday, the 24th of May from five o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, the 25th of May beginning at ten o’clock in the morning. All of the services will be held at Minor Memorial United Methodist Church located at 6120 Goodman Road West, Walls, Mississippi 38680. Burial via cortege will follow at New Bethlehem Cemetery. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall of the church. Mrs. McCarson’s legacy is lived on by her husband of 49 years Jerry McCarson; daughters Druan Elliott of Horn Lake, MS and Shea (Billy Joe) South of Hernando, MS; her brother Alvin Brogdon of Cordova, TN; and her three beloved grandchildren Shelby Walker and Melessa & Wyatt South.
