Glenda S. Tennyson passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the age of 82. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Wesley Tennyson. Glenda was a devoted member of Germantown Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending her time volunteering at her church and with the Baptist Hospital Women’s Center, where she volunteered over 1900 hours! Glenda was instrumental in raising her grandchildren and very active in their lives. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Emerson; her son, Wesley Tennyson Jr.; her brother, Bill Stevenson; her two grandchildren, Paul Emerson (Ashlie) and Lisa Emerson Underwood (Dan) and five great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be Wednesday, August 23 at Memphis Funeral Home at 10 a.m., with visitation held an hour prior. Donations can be made to the Church Health Center or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
