With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Dina Simone Edwards Lewis. Words can never fully capture the love, joy, and warmth she brought into the lives of everyone around her. To know her was to feel like you were truly seen, heard, and cared for. She had an incredible way of making anyone feel like family, whether by blood or by choice.
Above all else, Dina was a mother, sister, loving wife, and grandmother. The love for her children, grandchildren, and family knew no bounds. She was fiercely protective, endlessly patient, and always ready to offer a listening ear or a comforting word. She gave everything she had to ensure we felt loved, valued, and safe. Her heart was a constant source of strength for us, and her absence leaves a void that will never be filled.
She was a woman who lived life as she chose, with no apologies. She was bold, kind, and full of joy, living each day with a fierce love for those who mattered most. Her laughter, bright and genuine, could light up any room, and her kindness was boundless. She had a way of making you feel like the world was a better place just by being in it.
Like her mother, Sarah Lillian Rubin Edwards, Dina shared a rare, deep love for others that will forever be remembered. They were two of a kind—both with hearts that were open, warm, and full of love to give. Her legacy of kindness, strength, and love will continue to live on in all of us who were blessed to know her.
Though she may no longer walk beside us, her spirit is everywhere we go. Her love surrounds us, and her memory will forever be a part of our hearts. We will carry her with us always, in the way we love, the way we live, and the way we laugh.
A Celebration Gathering will be held at 2:00pm on December 26, 2024 at Pike & West located at 2277 West St., Germantown, TN 38138.
