David Michael Meeks

D. Michael ("Mike") Meeks, of Germantown, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2011 after a short illness at the young age of 68 years old. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Marisa M. Meeks; two sons David M. Meeks, II and Jonathan Meeks; and two sisters Mary Linda Davis of Clarksville, VA and Lou Ellen Harper of Nashville, TN. Mike was born in Hope, AR to LuEdna Frink Meeks and Hiram McKinney Meeks on March 7, 1943. He grew up in Jackson, TN and moved to Memphis, TN in 1976. Mike retired from The Promus Companies in 1992. Visitation will be Friday July 29, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Avenue, with funeral services on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Give Kids The World, 210 South Bass Road, Kissimmee, FL 34746. Entombment will follow at Memorial Park.
