Claudia Nell S. Haynes, 88, of Mason, Tenn. passed away peacefully on October 1, 2024. Born November 8, 1935 in Oxford, Miss., she was an avid gardener who loved art and cooking, both at home and professionally in many restaurant kitchens.
Claudia was proud to work as a liaison for the Mary Galloway Home until her retirement at 76 years old. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Dovie Jane and Frontis Starnes, and beloved brothers; Howell and Haskell Starnes (Pat). She joins her husband, Donald Haynes, in their heavenly rest and leaves behind her brother Douglas Starnes; sons Anthony and Terry Wall (Marie); daughter Michelle Strickland (Shawn); grandchildren Alisha Wall, Justin Wall (Heather), Brandon Strickland (Sarah), and Zachary Strickland; great-grandchildren Dalton Wall, Callie Wall, Haven Strickland, and Laila Strickland; along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.
A rotunda service for Claudia will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Rd, Memphis, TN 38125.
