Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents and her husband William J. Poole. She is survived by her three children and seven step-children. Children, Daughter Cheryl Denise Dowdy (Lester); Daughter Cindy Dianne New (Steven); Son William Shane Poole. Step-son Robert Poole (Germany); Step-son Glen Poole (Memphis); Step-daughter Toni Downen (Memphis); Step-son James Poole (Arkansas); Step-son Jerry Poole (Memphis); Step-son Andy Poole (Memphis); and Step-daughter Karen Sanders of (Millington). Seven Grandchildren Amanda Bean (Illinois); Joseph Watkins (Stacey) of Illinois; Jordan Ash, (Memphis); Makayla Lowery (Illinois); Caleb Ash (Memphis); Makenzie Dowdy (Illinois) and Linzie Dunaway (Illinois). Six Great-Grandchildren, eighteen step-grandchildren and thirty eight step-great-grandchildren.
She also was blessed with many friends throughout her life and she cherished them immensely. One friend in particular being Mary Morman, she treasured you as we do also.
Cheryl was a homemaker for most of her life and then became a customer service representative at Krystal corporation. She enjoyed taking care of her customers, and had her special customers, she took care of them and they always took care of her. She was well known and loved in her community and her legacy will live on forever there is no doubt. She was an avid lover of her fur babies, their needs were often put before her own. She was a kind and gentle soul and that is how she will always be remembered.
Serving as pallbearers are, Jordan Ash, Caleb Ash, Steven New, Ryan Bean, Dylan Watkins, Lester Dowdy, Andy Poole, and Joe Watkins.
The family will receive friends Thursday, August 5 from 6-9pm at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave., Memphis, TN 38122. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 6 at 10am Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave., Memphis, TN 38122. Interment will take place at Memphis National Cemetery, 3568 Townes Ave., Memphis, TN 38122 at 1pm.
