Cathy Ann McKenzie

Cathy was born August 14, 1958 in New Orleans, LA. She was a remarkable woman whose love and care left an indelible mark on everyone she met. She was the cherished daughter of Frances and Roy Touchstone, who preceded her in death.

Cathy’s legacy lives on through her children, Cathy Parsons (Earnest) of Collins, MS, and Christopher McKenzie of Kansas City, MO. She was a proud grandmother to Dakota Parsons, Tabitha Parsons, Jakob Kirkland, and Onia “Bug” McKenzie, as well as a great-grandmother to Delana, Dalton, and many more beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Cathy had a deep love for crafts, whether it was creating something beautiful with her hands or enjoying games on her iPad. She was a hardworking woman who prioritized the needs of others over her own, showing compassion and selflessness in all that she did. Her love for cooking and spending quality time with her brother, with whom she lived, were among her favorite pastimes.

Her family meant everything to her, and she maintained close and loving relationships with her brothers and sisters, always cherishing the bond they shared. Cathy was a beacon of love and kindness, and her dedication to her family and friends was truly inspiring.

She will forever be remembered as an amazing woman, deeply loved and missed by all whose lives she touched.

A visitation for Cathy Ann McKenzie will be held Friday, December 13, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122, followed by a Celebration of Life service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
