Blake Edward Beard, 28, of Southaven, MS went to heaven on Sunday, January 12, 2020. He was born in Memphis, TN on November 4, 1991. Blake graduated from Gateway High School and worked as a deputy court clerk at the Shelby County Courthouse for the past 9 years. He recently began a new job at Milwaukee Tool in Olive Branch, MS.
Blake was a huge Star Wars, Anime, and Marvel fan as well as an avid gamer, which brought him into his realm of friends. He enjoyed reading, drawing, and volunteering at the haunted house at Halloween. Because of his love of reading, Blake and wife Amanda enjoyed going to bookstores. He was a prankster, but also, thoughtful enough to learn how to operate a coffee French press, so he could serve his wife her daily coffee.
Blake is survived by his spouse, Amanda Beard; his father, Keith Beard; his wife, Kim of Knoxville TN; his sister, Brittany Beard, and his godmother, Karen Carter. He is preceded in death by his mother, Gina M. Beard. He also leaves his niece, Rebecca; nephews, Garion and Raistlin; friend, Jairo Mendez and family; the Cirillo, Hassell and Worley families, and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 25, 2020 from 1:00 until 2:00 pm with services to follow at 2:00pm, Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave., Memphis, TN 38122.
Blake will be laid to rest by his mother at a later date. The family requests that any memorial donations be made to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline online at nationalsuicidepreventionlifeline.org.
