Jane is survived by two brothers, J Murray Dye of Montgomery Alabama, and Morris ‘Skippy’ Dye of Macon Tennessee; two daughters, Sharon Gray and partner Kris Kourdouvelis of Memphis & Naples Florida; Brenda Anderson and husband Scott of Franklin TN; one grandson, Peyton Anderson; and one great grandson Zane Gray; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Jane worked for a number of years in the Dye family business, Memphis Silo Company; transitioning to Memphis City Hall during the Dick Hackett administration, later as personal assistant to Mayor Willie Herrington during his four terms. Jane was active in community affairs with her friends and associates; she was Dutchess of the Grand Krewe of RaMet.
Above all, Jane loved family, friends, and the laughter of life; providing an uplift to all she encountered. A graveside service will be held at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Road, Memphis on Friday November 26, 2021 at 1 p.m.
