Anna Marie Merryman Madeksho, 82, of Eads, TN passed away peacefully at her home on November 26. She was born in Cincinnati, OH and moved with her family at a young age to the Chicago, IL area. She later moved with her husband Melvyn Madeksho (deceased) and their three young sons to Forrest City, AR in 1970. The family moved to the Memphis, TN area in 1973 where they remain to this day.
Ann worked in the Tax department of Arthur Andersen LLP until her retirement. She excelled in her work and made many good friends.
Ann was a very faith filled and devout woman, serving her church in many capacities, including Eucharistic minister, lector, sacristan, and coordinating the Ministry to the Sick program for over two decades until she herself fell sick.
She and her husband were also avid bowlers in many leagues over the years. She enjoyed family vacations and outings to the lake in the family ski boat.
Anyone who ever knew Ann knows what a kind, gentle and generous person she was, and dearly devoted to her family and her faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mel, by her parents Cecil and Anne Merryman, and her brother Richard Merryman.
She is survived by her brother James Merryman (Marti), three sons David, Donald (Susan), and Jeffrey (Christine), six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday November 30, with a funeral mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Somerville, TN. Burial will be at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations be sent to St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church.
A visitation for Anna will be held Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Philip the Apostle Church, 11710 US-64, Somerville, TN 38068. Following the visitation will be a mass of christian burial from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St Philip the Apostle Church, 11710 US-64, Somerville, TN 38068.
