Alvin Jackson, 63, of Hernando, passed away June 25, 2013. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, and Celebration of Life services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 30, all at Family Funeral Care on Summer Avenue in Memphis. Interment will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Jackson was a machine mechanic with Carlisle Syntec and an avid motorcycle enthusiast. Alvin was a hardworking guy and dedicated family man. He loved his family first and his motorcycle family second, but sometimes the lines were blurred. With Alvin, what you see is what you get. His unique and adventurous spirit will be missed and cherished by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jackson; his daughter, Sunny Ann Jackson; his granddaughter who he raised, Dana Smith; as well as 10 other grandchildren; his mother, Joyce Jackson; 3 brothers, Terry Jackson, Tommy Jackson, and Jon Jackson; and 3 step-children, April Wilkinson, Amanda Smith, and Michael Smith.
