Ada was born in Memphis, TN on Oct. 24, 1934. She attended Humes High School. She retired as a secretary for Libby, McNeil & Libby.
A lot of people don’t know what an excellent sewist she was. She could make costumes, lined wool coats, little girls dresses, etc. Her daughter fondly remembers she also liked to rearrange furniture. One time Glenda came home from school and she was moved to a different bedroom.
Later in life, she loved to go to yard sales and thrift stores. Her grandson, Miles, recently joked that he could read a map before he could read a book because he accompanied her quite a few times.
The visitation will be at 12 noon on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019 at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN. The funeral will follow at 1:00 p.m.

The family would like to thank the staff at Superior Rehab and Nursing Home and Kindred Hospice, both of Conway, AR, for the love and care they showed our mom during this difficult time. The daughter particularly appreciates the humorous stories the staff shared this week and the sweet notes left in our mom’s room.
