Born 12/17/1966 -05/18/2022.
On May 18, 2022 our Lord wrapped his loving arms around Michael and brought him home to heaven with eternal love. His passing was sudden and unexpected. He will be greatly missed. Michael was a wonderful family man. He cherished his sons, Aidan and Kahla, and was proud of his marriage to Clarice.
After graduating from Lakeville High School in 1985 Michael served honorably for 2 years in the United States Air Force. He was an adventurous soul and rode his Harley all over England and parts of Europe while at Lakenheath AFB. During his next adventure Michael earned a bachelor of science degree in finance at the University of Oregon. While in Eugene, Oregon, he met the love of his life, Clarice Loo. They married in June 1998. They continued to raise their two amazing sons in Eugene.
Michael became a professional photographer and ran his own successful business for many years. Clarice and Michael loved to travel in the United States and abroad. He was always full of life and quick with a smile. He had the most contagious laugh, it was loud and it was frequent. He was a dedicated and passionate fisherman and outdoorsman. Michael was never without a fishing pole near by.
Loved ones left behind to cherish his memory include: his mother Mary Scott; his father Verlon Acord; his wife Clarice Loo; his sons Aidan and Kahla; his brother Christopher (& wife Angela) Acord; his sister Amanda Scott; his sister Rene Acord-Nichols; his nephews Curtis, Conor, Mikey, Brenden, Seth, and his niece Michaela; his Uncle Willie and Aunt Barbara McCall; and so many cousins and loving friends.
There to greet Michael in heaven: brother Scott Acord, Grandma Marvalene Acord, Grandpa John Boyle, and Grandma Gloria Manning Boyle.
Michael will be truly missed by many. There will only be a service in Michigan sometime in the future. Thank you in advance for documenting your memories here.
In lieu of flowers please send all donations to McKenzie River Trust in Michael’s name. Michael absolutely loved being on and around the McKenzie River.
