John Dale Johnson, born June 12, 1952, in Grants Pass Oregon to the late Howard and Shirley Johnson, He passed away peacefully on August 25, 2024, at 1 p.m., surrounded by his family. John was the oldest of four siblings and took immense pride in his family. His greatest passion in life was training Arabian horses, a pursuit that brought him joy and fulfillment, but even more so, he loved spending time with his nieces, nephews, and extended family.
John's heart was fullest when he was with his loved ones, sharing his wisdom, laughter, and countless horse stories. His infectious personality earned him the title of the "coolest uncle," a nickname he carried with pride. He was not just an uncle but also a best friend, a stand-in father figure, and a pillar of strength for those who needed him.
John is survived by his brother Ronnie Johnson and his nieces and nephews: Michael Johnson (spouse Jennifer) and their children Ashley Morris (spouse Chris) and Michael Johnson Jr. (Significant Other Kerrilee McMahan) Matt Johnson and his children Rylan and Tyler; Sara Martinez (spouse Travis) and her children Jeanna, Bryce, Jacob, Hannah, and Austin; and Ronnie Johnson Jr. (spouse Kirynn) and their children Wyatt and Rhett.
He is also survived by his sister Debbie Millien and her daughters, his nieces Crystal Millien and Abigail Taylor (spouse William), and their children Liam, Ethan, Lucy, Lucas, and Emery and sister Teresa Hicks (spouse Tom) his nieces Ronaka Ballinger (spouse Travis) and their daughter Raegan, and Amanda Baker (spouse David) and her daughters Chloe, Sydney and Riley.
John's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to all who know him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those he touched, remembered not only for his skill and passion but for his unwavering love
