John J. Flaherty Jr., 81 of Talent, Oregon passed away at home on Monday December 5, 2016 surrounded by his loved ones. John was born on Valentine’s Day 1935 in Waterbury, Connecticut to John and Margaret Flaherty. He joined the US Navy and served during the Korean War as a Radioman then was honorably discharged in 1960. John married Barbara Morrison on February 3, 1978 in Medford, Oregon. He was a jack of all trades, working as a tax consultant and a teacher. He also owned a Pizza Parlor in Ashland named “Cramalot” and a gas station in Medford named Barnett Mobile. He enjoyed debates, history and numbers. He was a loving father and successful businessman. He will be deeply missed by all. He is survived by his wife Barbara, his two daughters, Jeannie and Ki; their grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as his four sons and their families.
